Mahbubnagar: The ‘Maha Padayatra’ being carried out by Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) reached Balanagar Mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Saturday.

CPI(M)Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram, supported by Congress and TDP, had embarked on ‘Maha Padayatra’ on October 17 from Hyderabad to create awareness among the people about the failures of the TRS government, and it will continue till March 12, 2017.

The main objective of this ‘Padayatra’ is to awaken the people in the rural areas about the government’s failures on all fronts such as failure in implementation of double bedroom scheme, failure in release of scholarships for the students, failure in implementation of free KG to PG education scheme, and failure towards farmers’ welfare.

Addressing the people here, Tammineni contended that the TRS party had failed on all fronts. “The agriculture farmers are totally ignored. The government has failed to waive off their loans as promised.

Leave alone its electoral promise of providing free KG-to-PG education for all, the government is not able to continue the existing fee reimbursement scheme and is sitting on student’s scholarships since past two years.

We want to create awareness among the people about the government’s failures and pressurise the government to deliver on its promises,” he said. Mallu Ravi from Congress and Yerra Shekhar from TDP parties welcomed the CPM leader at Balanagar and extended their support.
