Jupally pitches for rural development

​Hyderabad: Rural development is key to all-round progress of the country, said Minister for Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Monday. Inaugurating international training classes on “Planning and Management of Rural Development programmes,” for government employees at NIRD at Rajendranagar, the Minister said the development of rural economy would lead to overall economic progress of the country.

Poverty was still haunting the rural areas despite several development programmes being taken up by the Centre and the State governments, he regretted. NIRD Director General W R Reddy, members Shankar Chatterjee, Chinna Durai, Aruna Jayamani are conducting orientation programme.
