Hyderabad: Condemning the language used by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s son KT Rama Rao and daughter K Kavitha against TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Congress MLA from Alampur SA Sampath Kumar suggested to both KTR and Kavitha to “behave properly”.

Speaking to the media at Assembly Media Hall here on Thursday, Sampath Kumar said that it was not correct on the part of Kavitha to say that “Uttam has to make his beard into a ‘Jada’” and KTR to say that “Uttam will become a ‘Sanyasi’”. He said that he never witnessed politicians stooping to such low levels in his 20 years political career.

“The TRS leaders are speaking with arrogance,” he said and suggested that KTR and Kavitha learn to speak the language fit to their level. Sampath said that AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi had accorded Telangana State only after seeing “KCR’s grown beard”. “Your father did a fake ‘deeksha’ and was admitted to NIMS and had grown beard,” he reminded.

Terming the surveys conducted by the Chief Minister as manipulated, Sampath alleged that corruption involving crores of rupees was happening in the GHMC. The Congress party would teach a fitting lesson to the ruling party in future, he said.

Stating that the Supreme Court had asked Telangana State Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary to submit a written affidavit to the court, Sampath said that the court may give four months’ time to the Speaker to take a decision on the defected MLAs. He said that the Congress party would urge the Speaker to take a decision on defections in a manner that the ethical values were protected.
