KTR remarks smack of arrogance
Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had wasted public money to the tune of Rest 10 core for Gods and Goddesses of Tirupati, Vijayawada and Warangal, TPCC vice-president Dr Mallu Ravi said TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy was not wasting public money but was only growing his beard.

Taking strong exception to Minister K T Rama Rao’s jibe at TPCC chief that ‘one cannot become chief minister if he grows beard, but certainly becomes a ‘Sanyasi’, Ravi said it shows Rama Rao’s arrogant attitude due to power and added that KTR had no right to speak against Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday along with party leaders Pyata Ravi and Nagesh Mudiraj, Ravi questioned KCR, who had declared earlier that he would not spare even his family members if they indulge in corrupt practices, to tell as to why he was not initiating action against any one when Rs 300 crore corruption took place in KTR’s Municipal Administration Ministry.
The Congress leader also said it was not proper on the part of KCR’s family members to indulge in personal attacks on Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was speaking on farmers’ loan waiver, students’ fees reimbursement and Arogyasri schemes, instead of addressing questions he was raising.
