Kakatiya University hostels in bad shape Students put to hardships

Kakatiya University is the second biggest university in Telangana, but it is facing many problems. Things are in bad shape on the varsity campus. Students are facing many problems as old hostels lack minimum facilities. There is no proper security arrangement and sufficient facilities for inmates of hostels including research scholars.

University administration seems to be unfeeling towards these serious issues and not resolving the problems. Students are facing another big problem as there is absolute shortage of rooms. But ironically nothing is stopping he administration from colleting huge mess bills and monthly water and electric charges.

The State government and university authorities should take action on these issues and provide best facilities to students as early as possible. Also I request the authorities to reduce mess fees for all students. - Kandagatla Sravan Kumar Research Scholar, Sociology, KU
