RTC staff stage dharna
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) workers staged a dharna in front of the office of the Cooperative Credit Society, demanding payment of their salaries.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) workers staged a dharna in front of the office of the Cooperative Credit Society, demanding payment of their salaries. The Union leaders alleged that, for first time in the history of RTC, salaries were not credited to the bank accounts of the staff on the first day of the month.
Incidentally, the TSRTC credited October month’s salary to their accounts on Thursday. Several Union leaders attacked the recognised union, Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU), for the delay in payment of salaries.
The Union leaders demanded that the government also pay the salary dues as per the agreement made following pay revision. The management had to pay DA for five months, but only one month DA was released, said the NMU leader K Hanumanthu.
