Collector assures funds to Anganwadi centres

Yadadri-Bhongir: District Collector, Anita Ramachandran on Saturday, directed the Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) to send proposals and assured release of funds to complete the incomplete Anganwadi centres and other office buildings, which required an expenditure of less than Rs 4 lakhs.
The district Collector conducted a review meeting with MPDOs in the Bhongir MPDO office on implementation of Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Speaking at the review meeting, Anita Ramachandran cautioned that action would be taken against the officials who show negligence in implementation of Haritha Haram program. She also directed officials concerned to release funds for protection of the planted saplings under NREGP.
She was angry over the inaction of officers in preparing a plan to achieve the target of saplings to be planted under Haritha Haram in this year.
Joint Collector G Ravi, Joint Commissioner of Rural Development Saidulu, District Forest Officer Sunil Kumar and others also attended the meeting.
