‘Govt to encourage artistes, art forms’
IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday emphasized the need for encouraging artistes in the State.
Hyderabad: IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Saturday emphasized the need for encouraging artistes in the State.
Participating in a Telangana Kala Mela at People’s Plaza here, KTR said the State has become popular for various art forms that reflect Telangana culture and tradition. The presentation of the art forms shows Hyderabad in a different picture, he said. Stating that there was a need for supporting artistes, the minister said the Telangana Government will encourage art forms to the core and bring every artiste to limelight.
KTR also asked the GHMC officials to protect government assets and take stringent measures against those indulging in wall writings. He expressed displeasure at the wall writings that appear at main roads and thoroughfares. The GHMC should not hesitate and should take serious action against TRS leaders and activists for wall writings. KTR exhorted the people to shoulder the responsibility to keep Hyderabad city beautiful.
