Overseas consultancies raided; 6 cases booked

The West Zone police have conducted surprise raids on unauthorised overseas agencies on the suspicion that the operators had adopted illegal means for visa processing and duped several gullible people.. Following the raids, the police booked at least six cases against the agencies on Friday.Â
Hyderabad: The West Zone police have conducted surprise raids on unauthorised overseas agencies on the suspicion that the operators had adopted illegal means for visa processing and duped several gullible people.. Following the raids, the police booked at least six cases against the agencies on Friday.
The agencies on which the raids were conducted included Sonia International Education Consultancy at Panjagutta; Canom Consultancy, Kanvisa Overseas Consultancy, both at Somijaguda, Travel Express and Arsh Travels Bureau at Tolichowki and Fahad Tours & Travels in Nanal Nagar.
During the raids, the police found that the agencies were not having valid licences from the Protector of Emigrants, Government of India, New Delhi.
