Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Sankernarayan on Friday reserved their verdict in an appeal filed by the government questioning the order directing the police not to arrest and release on bail former billiard champion Micheal Ferera and two others Malcom Desai and Micheal Joseph. The police charged them with involvement in QNet case.

It may be recalled that a single judge had directed the police to not arrest the said group of persons following allegations of their alleged involvement in a criminal case.

The State, in its appeal, contended that the single judge had erred in granting bail to them. Senior cousnels D V Sitaram Murthy and S Niranjan Reddy appearing for the accused pointed to specific verdict of the apex court.
