Old currency notes can be used to pay Traffic Challans

Hyderabad Police have taken a cue from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Water Board as they issued a press release on Sunday stating that the motorists can avail the opportunity of paying the traffic Challans with defunct currency notes till Monday.
LS Chauhan DCP-I (Traffic) in a statement informed "People can pay traffic challan dues with old Rs 500 and Rs1,000 notes till Monday evening at Eseva, Mee Seva centres, Bill Desk, Andhra Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank."
He further stated that as the traffic challans are mostly paid through cash, this initiative was taken for the convenience of people.
