Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari and Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao on Wednesday launched digital classes in 1,500 schools simultaneously from Mana TV premises here.

Speaking on the occasion, Srihari said the government had promoted digital classes to offer the quality education to the children. The digital classes would help the students brush up on their knowledge through quality learning, he said.

The government was determined to offer the world-class education free of cost. The parents should take the responsibility to get better education to their children, he said.

The government, the Deputy Chief Minister said, had begun the exercise to improve the education system in the State to excel the other States.

KTR stated that the government has launched the digital classes to provide quality education to the students. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had been making vigorous efforts to take the technology to the doorsteps of the people.

He maintained that technology, if not utilised to serve the interests of the common people, was of no use.

Mana TV has already launched classes for those preparing for Group-II examinations and was reaching out to every household in the State.

Appreciating the cable operators for playing a key role in taking Mana TV services to the people, the Minister said the programmes would be expanded in future.

IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Mana TV CEO Shailesh Reddy and other officials were present.

Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srnivas Yadav launched the digital classes at a function held at Government High School at Dharamkaran Road in Ameerpet.
