Displaced persons of Yellampalli seek compensation

​Mancherial: People made a beeline to the Collectorate here on Monday to submit their grievances to officials and Collector R V Karnan. Among them was the displaced persons of Yellampalli project. An affected farmer, Rajamani complained that officials were ignoring her repeated appeals for payment of compensation for the loss of ten guntas of land.

She said her attempts during the last several months were in vain. Responding to the plea, the Collector stated that the affected village was part of Hajipur revenue village while suggesting that the displaced meet the MRO. He assured that the official would render justice to them.
