Hyderabad: TRS leader Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Tuesday accused the Congress leaders of hoarding black money. He also said most of the Congress leaders were tax evaders. Addressing the media here, Rajeshwar Reddy condemned the Congress leaders’ unsavoury remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
He said the TRS would retaliate if the Congress leaders continued to make derogatory remarks against KCR, He claimed that the Chief Minister had met the Prime Minister and urged him to suggest measures which would help ease the pain inflicted on common people because of demonetisation of high-value currency notes.
The fallout of scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes had adverse impact on the large section of the people. The Centre should compensate the State for the loss in revenue following demonetisation, he said. The TRS leader demanded that the Centre take immediate measures to release into market adequate number of new Rs 500, Rs 100 and other low-value notes to check the currency shortage.
