Telangana Govt sanctions 194 crore for Yellampally project

The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 194.54 crore for the Yellampally Project phase–II.
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 194.54 crore for the Yellampally Project phase–II.
An order to this effect was issued on Thursday. Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said the government would complete the project in time.
Upon completion, the project would irrigate 57,000 acres in erstwhile Karimnagar and Adilabad districts.
The Minister said that Rudrangi and Nagaram tanks would be developed into reservoirs with pump houses to benefit Kathalapur, Korutla, Ibrahimpatnam, Metpally mandals.
