Sources reveal that he was posted on security duty along with other officials for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tour in Hyderabad.
Sridhar worked as Penchikalpet SI in Asifabad district. As per the sources, Sridhar had called a woman named Bhagya laxmi on phone last night.
While the police suspect love affair to be the reason behind his suicide, his colleagues informed that Sridhar appeared distressed during breakfast on Saturday morning. More details are awaited.
