Rosaiah, who went to Gandhi Bhavan to attend Indira Gandhi’s birth centenary celebrations on Saturday, recalled the days when he used to sit in Gandhi Bhavan and talk to all top leaders to chalk out party’s strategies from time to time.

Hyderabad: Former Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah went nostalgic when he visited Gandhi Bhavan after a long gap.

Rosaiah, who went to Gandhi Bhavan to attend Indira Gandhi’s birth centenary celebrations on Saturday, recalled the days when he used to sit in Gandhi Bhavan and talk to all top leaders to chalk out party’s strategies from time to time.

He said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was a remarkable person who took numerous steps to empower the masses. Indira Gandhi, he said, was not just a national leader but she was a person of international stature.

He said Indira Gandhi had taken numerous steps to strengthen Indian economy and drive out poverty from the country.

Earlier, Congress leaders felicitated Rosaiah at the Congress Legislature Party office. Opposition leader in Assembly K Jana Reddy, T Jeevan Reddy, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and others were present.
