Hyderabad: The National BC Welfare Association has held a huge rally on Sunday demanding the government to take more steps to curb the menace of black money and fake currency notes.
They raised slogans like “Prevent black money, corruption and fake currency notes,” “India should be made great country and “Prime Minister Modi Zindabad.”
Speaking on the occasion, president of National BC Welfare Association R Krishnaiah said that the decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban big currency notes was a revolutionary move. He said that more steps were needed to curb the black money and fake currency.
Krishnaiah criticised that the neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are printing fake Indian currency notes to destroy the Indian economy. They have been encouraging terrorists and terrorism.
The BC leader said that due to the black money and fake currency notes, the country’s economy had collapsed. The inflation is on the rise, currency lost the value, gap between the rich and the poor has widened, poor were unable to buy lands and houses and the rich have kept most of the country’s wealth in their hands.
Krishnaiah said that while the rich had amassed crores of rupees the poor remained poor. The middle class and poor people were unable to take up marriages of their children and were struggling to educate them. Some were committing suicides as they were unable to run their families but still the opposition parties were opposing ban of big currency notes.
He said that it was unbecoming on their part to oppose demonetisation. They should support any decision taken in the interest of the wellbeing of the people, he added.
It is true that people were suffering with the shortage of lower denomination notes. But it would not be possible to give birth to a child without birth pangs. People should know that such problems would arise when the economy is in the process of being cleansed. We must bear them for the benefit of the future generations, he said.
