Indian Medical Association (IMA) has organised the medical camp in association with Omega hospital of Hyderabad.Speaking on the occasion, the Collector assured that cancer is curable if detected at an early stage.

Nalgonda: District Collector Gaurav Uppal advised the doctors to play a key role in crafting Nalgonda as a healthy district. He launched free cancer detection medical camp at IMA building here on Sunday.

Appreciating the IMA team for conducting free cancer detection camp for the welfare of poor, he advised them to conduct more of such free medical camps across the district to create health awareness among the public.

He advised people to give up self medication and consult doctors to avoid adverse effects.The doctors of Omega hospital carried out ECG, scanning, pop smear, mammography and PSA tests during the day-long camp. More number of women made use of the facility.

IMA office bearers, Doctors Vasantha Kumari, Sucharitha, Gourisree, Arundathi, Anitharani, Rajeshwari, Leelavathi, Omega hospital doctors and staff participated in the medical camp.
