With RBI not responding to the supply of new currency in regard to meeting public expenditure, Telangana government has been granted only Rs 25 crore when it sought Rs 5000 crore.

Even the banks are unable to come to the help which has led to another issue of government servants and pensioners payment.

As November comes to an end, the Telangana government is expressing concern regarding the payments to government servants, pensioners apart from the Aasra pensioners on December 1. The government is still hoping that the RBI would issue new currency to the state in the coming few days.

Rs 35,000 Crore has been deposited in the banks of Telangana, post demonetization. The state government even appealed Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in a letter to issue issue new currency worth 5000 Cr but recieved only Rs 25 crore. During the past 20 days, Rs 45 crore new currency notes was released to Telangana as against the Rs 35000 Cr old currency deposited.
