KCR’s deeksha for Telangana historic: Harish Rao

Rao said the 1,560-day ‘deeksha shibir’ organised in the town had brought credit to it. Following KCR’s arrest, Srikanta Chary, who immolated himself in protest, had become a martyr, he added.
The Minister appealed to the people to cooperate with the government in making Telangana the No1 State in the country.
He paid tributes to those who had sacrificed their lives during the agitation for Telangana statehood. Later Rao, who toured the district, launched cashless payment (‘nagadu rahitha badili’) facility at the Rythu Bazaar.
He inspected the veg and non-veg market buildings being constructed there.
