Pradeep Chandra new CS of TS
The 1982 batch IAS official and Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) K Pradeep Chandra took charge as the second Chief Secretary of Telangana State on Wednesday following retirement of Rajiv Sharma on attaining superannuation.
Hyderabad: The 1982 batch IAS official and Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) K Pradeep Chandra took charge as the second Chief Secretary of Telangana State on Wednesday following retirement of Rajiv Sharma on attaining superannuation. Pradeep Chandra was instrumental in the preparation of TS –iPASS, one of the best industrial policies in the country, during his stint as Secretary, Industries Department.
As the head of Revenue Department, he played a key role in the formation of 21 new districts in the state recently. Though Pradeep Chandra has only one month service as he is due to retire on December 31, sources said that he was likely to get three months extension.
Pradeep Chandra did his Mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) and MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta). He recently acquired a PhD degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
