Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (Hysea), an apex body with 300 members representing the interests of the information technology (IT), IT-enabled services (ITeS) and software products industry in Telangana, is contemplating setting up an IT museum in the state.

“To be set up in collaboration with the state IT department, the museum will preserve and showcase the past, present and future of the IT industry in Telangana.

Besides preserving the computing history and showcasing the milestones and achievements, it will display various working models of innovative IT products.

The virtual campus, which will also double as a digital art gallery, will elevate Brand Hyderabad,” said Bharani K Aroll, Executive Committee Member of Hysea.

Aroll said that Hysea has also designed a ‘Disruptive Digital’ initiative, which would be a complimentary effort to the Telangana State Computer Literacy and Skills in Schools (TS-CLASS) programme.

“By 2020, 50 per cent of jobs will be obsolete. The Digital Disruptive initiative for Telangana will be a digital literacy programme at schools aligning with the Telangana government.

It will create and nurture a culture of innovation, startups, products and digital solutions. The initiative will benefit in the digital revolution in Telangana,” he added.
