Hyderabad: Several leaders paid floral tributes to former Chief Minister late Marri Chenna Reddy on the occasion of his 20th death anniversary here on Friday.

Former Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah, Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader K Jana Reddy and several Congress leaders paid floral tributes at the Chenna Reddy Memorial Rock Gardens located at Indira Park.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy recalled the services of Chenna Reddy, who strove for the poor and worked efficiently whatever positions he enjoyed politically.

He described Dr Reddy as a role model to the future generations. After paying tributes to Chenna Reddy at his Memorial Ghat at Indira Park, Uttam paid floral tributes to Chenna Reddy portrait at Gandhi Bhavan.

Opposition leader in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MLC Ranga Reddy, former ministers Danam Nagender, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Mahila Congress chief Nerella Sharada, TPCC spokesperson Regulapati Ramya, general secretary Vinod Reddy, Uzma Shakir, Bollu Kishan and others participated in the programme.
