Ease farmers woes at banks

Hyderabad: Minister for Transport Mahendar Reddy on Friday directed banks to ensure that farmers were able to withdraw cash from their accounts without any inconvenience.

He was speaking at a review meeting with the collectors and other officials of Ranga Reddy, Malkajgiri and Vikarabad districts here on the situation arising out of demonetization of high value currency notes.

Mahendar Reddy asked officials of agriculture and marketing departments to ensure that farmers got money for their produce immediately after procurement of the crop yield.
