Kothagudem: Two different letters were released in the name of Communist Party of India (Maoist) on Friday evening stating that the Centre and state governments are spreading false propaganda against the Maoists.

One of the letters released to the media in the name of Jagan, party's spokesperson of Telangana, appealed to the supporters and sympathisers to make the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) week, which is slated to be held between December 2 and 8, successful.

Alleging both the chief ministers of the Telugu states amassing huge amounts of black money, Jagan in his letter stated that the Maoists were not possessing hundred of crores of rupees.

“Had we got crores of rupees, we could have initiated several development works,” the letter stated. The other letter, which was signed by Azad, secretary of the Khammam district committee, also stated similar things.

Condemning the Operation Green Hunt, the letter also asked people to make the PLGA week successful. However police did not confirm the authenticity of the letters.
