Osmania University bags spot in list of renowned institutions
Osmania University has bagged a spot in the Times Higher Education rankings which was recently released.
Osmania University has bagged a spot in the Times Higher Education rankings which was recently released.
Among the top 300 universities in 'BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) and Emerging Economics', the University from Telangana made it to the list along with three universities from Andhra Pradesh - Sri Venkateshwara University, Acharya Nagarjuna University and Andhra University.
Last year only Andhra University figured in the list at the 193rd position from the two Telugu states in the rankings given for top 200 universities.
However, this year, the University rank fell into the 201-250 slot sharing with Osmania University and Acharya Nagarjuna University.
From India, 27 universities made it to the list with Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru ranking highest in the country with 14th position. The ranking is based on parameters including Teaching, Research, International Outlook, Industry Income and Citations.
