Singareni plant completes operation test in unit 2
The Singareni power plant at Jaipur of Adilabad district has successfully completed 72 hour long commercial operation test in unit- 2 on Friday and it has entered into commercial operations day (COD) with Telangana Transco.
Hyderabad: The Singareni power plant at Jaipur of Adilabad district has successfully completed 72 hour long commercial operation test in unit- 2 on Friday and it has entered into commercial operations day (COD) with Telangana Transco.
With this, the Singareni Thermal Power plant is ready to supply 1200 MW power to Telangana State. Chairman and managing director of Singareni Collieries N Sridhar thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the successful commissioning of the power station.
Commercial operations day was the final and crucial step for the Singareni in completing the construction of project and connecting it to the grid.
The commercial operation has begun at 5 pm on November 29, in the presence of senior officials of Singareni and Transco and Discoms.
The plant was able to achieve the production target of 600 MW in the past 72 hours.
