Hyderabad: City police on Friday arrested two Nigerians in Golconda and recovered narcotic substances – cocaine and heroin – from their possession. This is the second incident in the last three days in which Africans were arrested for drug peddling.

The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Okaro Cosmos Ramsey and Abraham Jacob Ukoha, both natives of Lagos, Nigeria. Police recovered 14 grams of cocaine, seven grams of heroin, 5.2 kg of ganja, one motor cycle, two cell phones, Indian currency valued at Rs 21,100 from their possession. Police also seized their passports.

Police said Okaro came to India three years ago on a business visa. However, he developed contacts with narcotic suppliers in different parts of India and began peddling narcotic drugs.

He brought his friend Abraham also on a business visa to assist him in the illegal trade. Acting on specific information, task force team and the Golconda police nabbed the drug peddlers and seized the contraband.
