Karimnagar: An off-campus centre of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will soon be a reality in Karimnagar.
The upcoming off-campus, touted as hugely beneficial to the Muslim population of the region, is the first in Telangana State other than Hyderabad.
It may be noted here that MANUU is a Central University established in Hyderabad in 1998 to promote and develop the Urdu language and to impart vocational and technical education through conventional and distance modes.
There has been an effort for the last one year to establish an off-campus in Karimnagar in a bid to support formal education among Muslims.
Thanks to the special interest of the Karimnagar MP Boinapally Vinod Kumar, who had been pursuing the matter with the Central government and the university authority.
