Revision of electoral rolls for Telangana, AP MLC seats
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the last date for enrollment of eligible graduate and teachers seeking inclusion of their names in the draft electoral rolls to December 19, 2016.
​Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the last date for enrollment of eligible graduate and teachers seeking inclusion of their names in the draft electoral rolls to December 19, 2016.
The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal mentioned in a statement on Thursday that earlier the ECI had extended the period for claims and objections for the ongoing de-novo preparations of electoral rolls in Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam Graduates, Prakasam-Nellore –Chittoor Graduates.
Similarly, dates have also been extended for enrollment for Prakasam-Nellore-Chittoor and Kadapa-Anantapur-Kurnool Teachers Constituencies of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.
Also, dates for Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad Teacher’s Constituency of Telangana Legislative Council have been extended to December 19, he added.
The CEO asked eligible graduates and teachers of the said constituencies to file their applications, if not already filed; and also to raise objections, if any, on the inclusion of any name in the draft electoral rolls till December 19.
The final publication of rolls will be made on January 12, 2017, Bhanwar Lal said.
