Hyderabad: In order to effectively curb negligence and irregularities in administration, the Telangana State government is contemplating to terminate the services of errant officials, instead of merely suspending them.

Minister for Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao told The Hans India that there had to be an end to incidents like Thursday’s building collapse in Nanakramguda. Hence, the government was planning to take severe action against irresponsible officials.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao expressed his view that mere suspension of officials found indulging in irregularities and corruption was only leading to continued trouble and inconvenience to the public.

The government would take stringent action against any official found guilty, he asserted.KTR announced payment of Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to the kin of those deceased and aid for medical treatment of those injured.
He said that Deputy Commissioner VV Manohar, assistant city planner Krishna Mohan and section officer Madhu had been suspended.

The bodies of the deceased would be sent to their native villages in Vizianagaram district in a special ambulance.

The kin of the deceased families would be sent in a TSRTC bus. Experts from JNTU-H had been entrusted with the task of finding the actual cause of the accident. A preliminary report was expected by Saturday, he said.
