Hyderabad: The State government will soon come out with its own 'T-Wallet', State IT Minister K T Rama Rao said here on Saturday.

KTR, who held a meeting with IT Department officials and service providers of the proposed wallet, said the wallet would be user-friendly with emphasis on convenience, security and privacy.

Every cash transaction of citizens with government would be free and the wallet would initially offer services in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and water works, he said.

Named 'T-Wallet', the application would be extended to Fair Price Shops (FPS) and citizen service centres (e-seva), he said.

The T-Wallet would work on smart phones, feature phones, computer, call centre and "No Phone " as well, he said.
