Hyderabad: After the cab services, what is going to revolutionise the whole of Hyderabad is bike taxi service. The service is affordable as well as quick given the traffic snarls in the twin cities. For a single person, taxi or cab is a costly affair. Moreover, there are usual traffic jams which slow down movement of cars. To end such travails, a private organisation Get Bike came forward to introduce bike taxi services. The service can be availed by downloading the mobile application.

Initially, the service is available in Secunderabad and Gachibowli areas. It offers both pick-up and drop services. Compared to the cab or taxi services, bike taxis are cheaper by at least 40 per cent. The bike taxis charge Rs 20 for the first 3 km and four rupees for every kilometre afterwards. A person travelling to Narayanaguda, which is 7 km away from Secunderabad, can reach the destination with the help of bike taxis by shelling down a fare of Rs 35.

The employees of the Get Bike express their satisfaction over the job. On an average, they earn Rs 700 to Rs 1,000 a day. Some of the employees begin their work at Secunderabad, while some others drop the software employees at their home operating from Gachibowli. The Get Bike is contemplating expanding its services all over the city.

Some of the employees travel on their motorcycles to office. By virtue of sharing the vehicle with someone else with the help of the mobile application the bike riders can earn handsomely. The tariff is decided by the mobile application. The Get Bike requires at least 5,000 bikes. The services help unemployed find jobs and provide service to customers. The Get Bike is striving to develop its own mobile application.
