Nalgonda: Slamming the State government, CPM State leader Julakanti Ranga Reddy said it had miserably failed to address public issues in the last two-and-a-half years and has been wasting time with cabinet meetings and committees.

On Sunday, he along with party district secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy spoke to media at party district office in Nalgonda. He raised objections over government’s proposal to bring the new land acquisition act which does injustice to oustees.

Party would organise protests and struggles for the implementation of Land Acquisition Act, 2013, he added. Describing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a magician of words, Julakanti said government was cheating people by announcing a new scheme regularly.

In two-and-a-half years of KCR’s tenure, the State had achieved nothing and utterly failed in implementing welfare schemes, he mocked. MLAs and Ministers of ruling party betraying people by giving false promises, he said.

People have been facing hardships with cash crunch due to demonetisation, ignoring the interests of people, KCR was giving chorus to PM Modi’s cashless transactions slogan, he criticised.

Government was doing injustice to SCs and STs by diverting their funds for other programmes, he charged. Government was not taking any concrete steps for the benefit of neglected sections even after disclosure of Sudhir committee reports.

He demanded implementation of sub plan, spending funds of SCs and STs for their development, preparation of BC sub plan and passage of resolution in Assembly with regard to 12 per cent reservation to Muslims.

Sudhakar Reddy expressed his concern over not releasing of water to Sagar and AMRP ayacut crops for Rabi season and demanded the government to respond immediately for the welfare of farmers.
