Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy here on Sunday dared the ruling party to give sufficient time to the Opposition in the Assembly.

If the Opposition is given ample time to raise public issues, it would become clear “who would cleanse whom.” He suspected that the government was trying to limit the reservation for Muslims to 9 per cent only.

Speaking at Assembly media point, Jeevan Reddy said the TRS government, which promised 12 per cent quota for the Muslims, was now trying to cut it down to 9 per cent.

It was not proper on the part of the Sudhir Commission to recommend 9 per cent reservations for Muslims contrary to the State government’s commitment to provide 12 per cent reservation.It appeared that the State government had ensured that the Sudhir Commission recommend only 9 per cent reservations for Muslims.
