A tiger cub was found dead on a hill near Tamsi in Adilabad district of Telangana, police said on Sunday. The carcass of the cub, believed to be around 2 to 3 years old, was found by some cattle rearers during the early hours at Bodagutta, a hill near Tamsi, they said.

The officials of the Forest department were informed and they conducted an autopsy, police said, adding that the cub was believed to have crossed into the district from a reserve forest in Maharashtra through the Penganga River. They said that investigation was in progress.
