Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has demolished 11 unauthorised buildings on Thursday.

The HMDA which launched a massive drive to demolish illegal constructions about six days back has so far demolished 57 unauthorised layouts and 286 buildings.

The drive would carry on for another month. Four teams from the enforcement wing carried out demolitions in Boduppal, Puppalguda, Manikonda, Nizampet and Jalpally village (Balapur mandal). According to officials, Boduppal layout application was rejected by HMDA due to land dispute.

They said that the applicant was developing roads, arch, and compound wall while they applied under layout regularisation scheme (LRS). The officials said the demolitions were taken up in the areas which were spread over 20 acres.

The layout demolitions were also taken up at Dundigal village (Qutbullapur mandal) at survey numbers including 618, 619 and 620.

The officials added that under construction commercial building with cellar + ground +3 upper floors adjoining Narsapur road near Gandimaisamma (in survey no 171,Dommarapochampally in Quthbullapur mandal) were also demolished.

The HMDA officials claim that the notices were served to all the illegal building owners and gated communities.

Officials said that they already informed people to regularise their unauthorised plots till December 31 on payment of 20 per cent additional penal amount.
