Hyderabad: The State government’s announcement forewarning Opposition legislators of suspension should they enter the well of the House was against the spirit of democracy and indicated that the TRS government was jittery in facing the opposition parties, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha reasoned on Thursday, while sharing with newsmen the strategy his party would adopt in the Assembly.

Bhatti said that his party would move a no-trust motion against the government if it failed to answer certain questions to be raised in the House based on the prevailing situation. Earlier, the Congress undertook a rigorous exercise to pull up the State government on various public issues in the Legislative Assembly and the Council.

After the CLP meeting, Vikramarka addressed the media, along with party whip Sampath Kumar. Bhatti said that the party would raise in the House mainly the impact of demonetisation of high value notes on people in the State.

Loan waiver scheme, fee reimbursement scheme, employment, SC, ST Sub- Plan funds, employees’ PRC issue and the bad condition of Hyderabad city would also be raised in the House for detailed discussion, he said.

Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was habituated to pass time by telling stories and not doing anything to the people, Bhatti said that the party would put in efforts for floor coordination and move along with all parties.

Bhatti questioned the Chief Minister as to how he could call himself a democrat if he dubbed opposition parties that raised public issues as anarchists.
