Mahbubnagar: Facilitating the Palamuru pulse farmers, local marketing facilities for their produce, the State government opened its first Pulse Procurement Centre at local market yard on Sunday.

The main aim of this procurement center is to mitigate problems of pulse farmers who were earlier forced to go to either Tandur or Raichur markets in the neighbouring districts of Ranga Reddy and Karnataka State.

Addressing the inaugural function of pulse procurement centre local MLA Srinivas Goud said, “The Telangana State government is always in the forefront to help and support the farmers in all its forms. Since years, our local farmers were suffering due to lack of pulse procurement center.

But now all their problems are solved as they will get minimum support price for their produce. Farmers with quality produce will get the best price on par with the open markets. I urge all the farmers to utilise this opportunity and get the best price for their produce.”

The MLA also directed the market officials to do the payments immediately either by cheque or by direct transfer to their bank ccounts and avoid any kind of payment delays as the farmers are facing lot of problems due to cash crunch.
