Vikarabad: Expressing gratitude for the adopted father, who was also his grandfather’s younger brother Mogulappa, a youth of Navalla village of Basheerabad mandal, Boyini Eswar, has built a temple for Mogulappa at a cost of Rs 13 lakh.

The temple featured a Shiva Lingam, a Nandi statue besides photos of Mogulappa and his mentor Ramappa.

When Boyini Eswar was a child his mother died of ill-health. His father then married another woman. Soon after the marriage, the behavior of his father Bheemanna underwent a noticeable change.

Mogulappa, who was childless, moved at the plight of the boy and immediately adopted Eswar. Since then, Eswar was brought up by Mogulappa couple taking care of his all needs.

Mogulappa was an avid preacher and gave spiritual discourses in the village. He used to take part in functions that took place in the village.

He was consulted by people while performing various events in their families or in the village. In 1982, he was elected sarpanch of the village.

His contribution to the village were provision of drinking water, street lamps, improvement in sanitation, construction of a school, a panchayat building, Anganwadi center and so on.

Following Mogulappa’s death on October 10, 2013, Eswar built the temple in honour of his beloved grandfather.

Pujas are performed at the temple on full moon and new moon days. Bhajans are sung on Mondays and Fridays.

On festive occasions like Deewali, Eswar is conducting Anna Danam and Deeparadhana celebrations spending out of his pocket.

Not only those from Ranga Reddy district, but also people from neighbouring Karnataka are taking part in these events.

The local people are full of praise for the grandson for his love and affection for the grandfather.
