Telangana raises a stink over KRMB stance
Telangana State government on Wednesday launched a strong protest with the Centre over the illegal projects\" like Pattiseema in Andhra and the goings on in the Krishna River Management Board which had become detrimental to the interests of the State.

Chief Advisor to the government and former Chief Secretary Rajiv Sarma and Special Chief Secretary S K Joshi, along with Advisors to the Telangana government R Vidyasagar Rao and Papa Rao here on Wednesday met the Central Water Resources Secretary Amarjit Singh to bring to his notice the anti-Telangana attitude of the Krishna River Management Board.
The Board was working to protect the interests of AP and against Telangana State every time, they pointed out. They said Telangana State was justifiably enraged over the suggestion of the Krishna River Board that AP and Telangana State should share the waters in the ratio of 70:30.
The Centre must also decide on the additional allocation of water to Telangana State in the wake of the illegal Pattiseema project, they said.
Because of the project, the AP was utilising Godavari waters beyond the stipulated allocation and Telangana State was not getting its rightful share in lieu of it. The effort of the Telangana State government to get the telemetry system implemented was also being stonewalled, they said.
The suggestion for a joint committee on water utilisation by both the States had also not been taken cognisance of so far despite an announcement to this effect, they said.
The Brijesh Kumar Tribunal should look into all these aspects and the Centre should intervene to render justice to Telangana State, they urged the Centre.
