Telangana gearing up to launch TS-Wallet for cashless transactions
In the wake of the demonetization drive, Telangana government is all set to launch TS-Wallet for cashless transactions. Based on the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the officials from the Information Technology department have got the mobile application ready.

However, the permission of RBI is required to launch the mobile app. The officials informed that by the end of December, the RBI is likely to give a go ahead for the launch of mobile app.
While the Andhra Pradesh government is also launching an AP wallet, the Telangana government officials asserted that the TS-Wallet is different from AP's Purse Wallet.
Currently, the discussions are going on with third party firms, who are having tie-ups with banks and other financial organisations.
