Hyderabad: A fire accident completely gutted a wholesale plastic goods and gift items shop in the cellar of Sai Krishna Plaza, opposite to Aziz Plaza in Begum Bazaar on Sunday evening.

At least three fire tenders were called in, but the closed shutters created hurdle in overcoming the situation, as the market remained closed on Sunday. Only smoke billowing from cavities of wall and below the shutter was visible for those trying to douse the fire for at least two hours. The police officials who reached the spot cordoned off the area for 50 meters.

Later, the fire fighters were able to control the fire, after breaching the slab of the building by making hole with the help of jack hammer (used for breaking roads). The loss of property could not be ascertained.
