Under the guidance of their handlers in Syria, the group had allegedly formed a group called Jhund Ul Khalifa al Hind Fl Bilad.

The chargesheet says that the accused had attempted to go to Syria but failed and decided to plan the terror attacks for which they identified the Punjagutta, Afjalgunj and Bahadurpura police stations in the city.
