Hyderabad: State Government Contract and Outsourcing Employees Federation demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao fulfil the promise incorporated in TRS election manifesto in regard to regularisation of their service.

The Contract and Outsourcing employees staged a sit-in at Indira Park on Wednesday and demanded that the government regularise their services. Federation secretary J Venkatesh said there were 1.60 lakh contract and outsourcing employees in the State.

There was no job security for them, he said. Venkatesh said during the elections, the TRS party chief had said that there would be no contract employees in the State and also promised to regularise the services of outsourcing employees, but after coming to power, he was talking about rules, roster, rule of reservation, etc.” He said the government should also provide the benefits to the employees like PF, ESI, DA, etc.

Federation Vice-President M Padmashri said the government has no money to increase the salaries of the employees, but has the money to double the salaries of MLAs. Federation greater Hyderabad leader J Kumar Swamy and others were also present.
