The district administration is devising a comprehensive plan to launch a campaign on cashless transactions in the entire district. 

Mahbubnagar: The district administration is devising a comprehensive plan to launch a campaign on cashless transactions in the entire district. As part of this, the District Collector Ronald Rose has worked out a plan to launce awareness programme in 468 villages and 828 hamlets across the district.

In the first phase, the district administration is focusing on training the government employees to go in for cashless mode of transactions. For this the Collector has decided to select 300 government employees at mandal and gram panchayat level for imparting training.

“In sync with the State and Central governments plan to motivate more people to adopt cashless transactions, we in Mahbubnagar have designed a comprehensive campaign to propagate and create awareness on digital mode of transactions among the masses. As part of this we are selecting 300 government employees at the mandal and village level and providing training to them,” said the Collector here on Wednesday.

The main aim of providing training to the government employees is that the district administration intends to ensure that the employees fist initiate cashless transactions and it will automatically encourage the people to adopt it. “if employees insist that the people should pay their electricity bills, telephone bills and other property taxes and other dues to gram phanchayts through cashless mode, it will go a long way in adopting cashless transactions..

In the second phase the district administration is planning to train 15 persons in each village and 5 persons in each remote hamlet. This strategy will help in adopting cashless transaction. The administration has also decided to send mobile parties to all the remote villages to help people enrol themselves in Aadhaar.
