​Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Saturday asked the officials to put in persistent efforts for speedy completion of the projects.

Harish Rao held a high-level review meeting with the chief engineers at his chambers and launched a calendar of Irrigation department. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the State government has achieved good results in the irrigation sector in just two and half years.

“It is high time that the officials work efficiently with active coordination with other wings for timely completion of the projects”, he stated.

He asked the officials to strive to achieve the targets set by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on irrigation projects and that the State government was committed to complete Palamur, Ranga Reddy and Dindi projects besides completing other projects in the districts.

Drought situation in Khammam district will not continue on completion of Sitarama project”, he added and asked the officials to replicate Madhya Pradesh model of distribution of waters on tail to head process to distributaries and minor canals to achieve better results.
