​Hyderabad: The Telangana State Cabs Association (TSCA) has threatened to intensify their strike if the managements of both Uber and Ola do not respond to their demands by January 5. The association has also demanded that the government intervene and take corrective measures.

The TSCA president Ch Yadaiah and K Anjaneyulu demanded that the government intervene and come to their rescue.

Yadaiah said the livelihood of the drivers was getting affected due to the change in policies of Uber and Ola. He said there was no business for existing vehicles but the managements were enrolling more drivers.

The cab association drivers are on strike since December 31 and the denizens have been put to inconvenience during the last two days.

The strike would be continued till January 4 and if the managements do not respond to their demands, the association has decided to continue the strike.

Yadaiah said the managements had provided smart phones with internet connectivity to the drivers and added once there was progress in the business, the phones were taken back.

He said there was no security to the drivers while on duty. He said a driver was attacked at Vanasthalipuram and his vehicle was snatched away and later it was found in Guntur.

The TSCA members demanded that the managements stop new cabs joining the fleet, remove the sharing and peak hour system and provide security to the drivers.
