Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday raised the issue of Fee Reimbursement in Assembly.

Stating that the Fee Reimbursement would continue in the state, KCR said that the government has so far spent Rs 1400 crores towards fee-reimbursement of the students.

Reacting strongly against the Opposition leaders who have been misleading the students on fee-reimbursement issue, the Chief Minister asserted that the scheme would continue and the state government is committed to do so.

KCR assured the students and the educational institutions that they don't need to bother about the fee.

Speaking on the same, MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi brought up the scheme and scholarships linked with the fate of 14 lakh students belonging to Minority categories.

Expressing the resentment on the state government failing to put exact details of the dues, the MIM MLA alleged that the previous government ruled by the Congress was not able to implement the scheme which further affected the present TRS government.

Terming that the 'Fees Reimbursement Scheme' and Scholarships are important for the students, Akbaruddin Owaisi appealed the government to address the issue of students belonging to SCc, STc, Minorities, BCc and disabled.
